Soft Watercolor Stripes

A Softer Take on the Classic Stripe

Some patterns ask to be the center of attention. These stripes were never meant to do that.

They were designed to settle quietly into a space instead. To soften a room a little.

They add movement, texture, and personality without taking over everything.

Designed for Lived-In Spaces

The collection began with hand-painted watercolor lines and slowly evolved into a series of relaxed, slightly weathered stripes inspired by sun-faded fabrics, coastal interiors, washed linen, and those imperfect details that make a home feel lived in rather than staged.

That balance matters.

A stripe can easily become too sharp, too formal, too nautical, too perfect. I wanted these to feel softer and more organic. Structured enough to stay timeless, but loose enough to feel comfortable alongside rumpled bedding, open windows, garden dinners, and everyday life.

One Pattern, Different Personalities

Right now, the collection includes a growing range of colorways, from airy aquas and deep coastal blues to earthy greens and warm sun-baked corals, with more variations already in progress. One of the things I love most about working with stripes is how dramatically color changes the mood. The same pattern can feel cool and calming in one palette and warm and welcoming in another.

They’re designed to work across all kinds of spaces and projects, especially:

  • bedding and pillow covers
  • curtains and soft furnishings
  • wallpaper
  • table linens
  • quilting projects
  • relaxed coastal interiors
  • calm, layered bedrooms

And honestly, I think stripes work best when they’re allowed to play a supporting role.

Soft Structure for Everyday Spaces

Not every pattern needs to dominate a room. Sometimes the pieces that quietly tie everything together end up being the ones you live with the longest.

The watercolor stripe collection is available in my Spoonflower shop on fabric, wallpaper, and home decor, with additional colorways coming soon.
